Rebecca “Becky” Clower is a powerhouse in Costa Rica’s real estate scene – an entrepreneur, investor, and industry leader with an unwavering passion for helping others find their piece of paradise. As the President, CEO, and Founder of Blue Water Properties of Costa Rica (BWP), she has built a company that stands on a foundation of ethics, integrity, and an unmatched dedication to client experience.

A bilingual, bicultural dual citizen, Becky was born in Chicago, IL to a Costa Rican (Tica) mother and raised in Buffalo, NY. After earning her degree from Arizona State University, she launched a successful real estate career in Tampa, Florida, selling millions in properties before making a life-changing move to Costa Rica in 2006. Here, she could stay close to family while continuing to do what she loves—real estate sales and investment.

Since then, Becky has grown Blue Water Properties from the ground up, not only leading a top-performing brokerage but also spearheading major development projects. Her track record includes:

• Mango Walk – a 21-lot gated community that sold out in just five months
• Punta Playa Heights – a 16-unit condominium development
• Plaza Mar Azul – a 12-unit commercial complex in Playa Flamingo

Beyond her role as a business leader, Becky is a prominent figure in the real estate industry. A past President of CRGAR (Costa Rica Global Association of Realtors®), she was instrumental in launching Costa Rica’s first centralized MLS, raising industry standards, and implementing a 12-month professional education program for BWP agents. She is also a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) and a proud member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

In addition to her real estate ventures, Becky is the host of Purchasing in Paradise, a reality TV show following BWP agents as they navigate Costa Rica’s coastal real estate market. She has also been featured on HGTV’s House Hunters International, Beachfront Bargain Hunt, Beach Around the World, and Live Here, Buy This, House Hunters Paradise and
My Lottery Dream Home as well as in multiple series on Blue Water Properties’ YouTube Channel.

At her core, Becky is more than just a businesswoman—she’s a dedicated community advocate. From organizing beach cleanups and supporting local charities to building a home every year for a family in need, she is deeply invested in making a difference in Costa Rica.

Today, Becky and her family call Playa Flamingo, Guanacaste home. Whether she’s negotiating a million-dollar deal, mentoring her team, or giving back to her community, her mission remains the same: to help others live their dream in Costa Rica.
