Just 17 miles South of Liberia you can find one of the best kept secrets in Guanacaste. The Cortes Waterfalls is a great place to take the family or a special friend.

In my line of work, I am often asked by our guests where is a good place to take the kids. Cortes Waterfalls is a great place for people of all ages.

It’s cheap too, they only ask for a small donation for the local school at the entrance.

After living here for 6 years, I just found out about this place a few months ago and I have been back 4 times already.

It’s only an hour and fifteen minutes away from Tamarindo.

If you ever been in Guanacaste before, you know it can be HOT. This is a perfect place to cool off and really get into nature.

Even though there is a hut that sells pipas and fruit in the parking area, I recommend you bring a cooler because you will want to stay for a while.
