While Sarah Martin was born and raised in Maine, where she still spends summers with her family, a piece of her heart and soul has long belonged to Costa Rica. She has lived and worked here since 2008: Drawn by the tropical beach lifestyle – the ability to wake up any day and take to the ocean, discover a new beach, don her snorkeling gear, or just relax on the boat – Sarah loves her adopted home and believes strongly in giving back to her local community and neighbors.
For much of Sarah’s professional life in Costa Rica, she has worked in sales and property management. She also has over 12 years of experience as an HOA manager at The Palms in Playa Flamingo, where she aided the project from beginning to end – the end being when they completely sold out in 2019! Sarah now leverages her knowledge and expertise to aid her real estate clients in navigating local HOAs, investing in short-term rental property or hotels, and related topics.
At Blue Water Properties, Sarah works to deliver honesty and transparency. She is responsible, respectful, and knowledgeable on a range of topics, including family life in Costa Rica – she’s raising her two children here, so feel free to ask her about private schools, family-friendly activities, restaurants, and more! – and loves being able to connect with people and share this special place that she is lucky enough to call home.
